Richard and Lois & Heart of the Lord Ministries


Heart of the Lord Ministries is Richard and Lois' ministry of God's mercy.
Placed upon their hearts by the Lord Jesus, their ministry is in conveying
the truth of God's grace and love, especially to the broken-hearted.

Jesus said "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind" and "to set at liberty them that are bruised" (Luke 4:18). Heart of the Lord is a ministry of healing and restoration for the soul. Filled with warm acoustic melodies, the music ministers the peace and love of God for His often hurting church. The music and lyrics are filled with the gentle Spirit of God, the true Healer and Restorer of the soul.

Richard and Lois have been married since 1997 and currently make their home in Massachusetts. They gave their hearts to the Lord in 1980 and 1981.

Richard is a licensed minister and teacher of God's Word. He served as assistant pastor of Grace Fellowship Church in Lakeville, and currently serves as pastor of Heart Of The Lord Christian Fellowship, the church that he and his wife founded in Wareham.

Richard started learning guitar at a young age and was formerly in a punk rock band, playing the clubs in Boston. Having found that lifestyle to be empty, he gave up his own music for the music that the Lord started to give him - quiet acoustic psalms that Scripturally reflect the love and mercy of God.

Richard and Lois also run the ministry of ChristianGreetingCards.com, which encourages people in the Scriptures and has had over 200,000 visits since going on-line in 1998. It contains many of Richard's Christian cartoons as well as his devotionals, free e-cards and an on-line story called "Precious Meets The King" for children and adults. Lois has written the verses for their "Christoons" card line, and has published poetry used in Christian Sunday school books.

Both Richard and Lois have a desire to see Jesus heal the wounded in spirit and to draw people close to His heart of love. The back of their CD, Such A Friend - Songs for restoring the soul, sums up their ministry:

When Jesus suffered on the cross, He suffered far more than our eyes could have beheld. Worse than any physical pain that He endured, Jesus bore the very wrath of God for us. Oh saints, what love! Is there anything that can separate us from Him Who took all our condemnation upon Himself? Let us rest in that love. Let us draw near and enter into the very Holy of Holies and find His gentle touch of grace and mercy. The veil of separation has been torn down and He invites us all to enter into His rest, His very rest of love. This is the perfect love that casts out fear, for all who say "yes" to Him...
